Oporto (Portugal) artists gather every year to show their work
These guys move us with their art. Freedom of thought, letting go of what moves them too. Great artists that have to fight hard to keep working and making a living and not letting go their dreams.

cloudy skies, stormy days

Cloudy skies and windy, stormy days have always been my favourites. They kinda make me feel free and that is not easy to explain. They can soothe my mind. Does that make sense, to feel the wind in your face and feel so happy that you can not explain it? Go figure...

street art

You have seen it before. They are everywhere, in cities all around the world. This one is in one of the poorest areas of Porto. It's quite amazing to go around in streets where most of the buildings are falling apart and find masterpieces like this.

see you in a while Karl

When I got to Seattle, summer of 2001, Karl had took my fourteen year old daughter into his Tae Kwon Do class, in Tukwila Community Center. She had grown up, as all kids do over summer, and I was taken by surprise seeing her fight men an women twice her age and size. There were some amazing and very young kids doing stuff I only saw in the movies. But I was so proud of mine... Karl and his family looked after her like their own and will be forever grateful to his kind attention to her. Never had the chance to learn more from him and I just heard he entered the Spirit World four years ago. I felt very sad. We always hope to enjoy people we like for a little longer, though we foolish throw away our chances and never give them a second thought. Even if  I wont be seeing Karl again in this world, I am sure he still keeps an eye on us back here. And we will all join him in a while.
